Mirfield Rotary Club together to raise funds for Kirkwood Hospice

Combining the various fundraising skills for which they have become renowned locally, Mirfield Rotary recently made yet another welcome contribution towards the care of patients at Kirkwood Hospice.

Part of a group of 1.2 million neighbours, friends and community leaders, the Mirfield Rotary Club aim to create positive, lasting change in our local communities and around the world.

Mirfield Rotary Club present the cheque of £3,335 to Kirkwood Fundraiser, Lyndsey Richardson.

During their most recent good will cause, funds were raised in aid of Kirkwood Hospice through a combination of individual and inventive fundraising efforts.

Taking on a sponsored five mile walk along the Royal Navigation Canal in Mirfield, hosting a sponsored Bridge Lunch and cooking up a storm with sales of a specially prepared Spice Mix, the club pulled out all the stops.

Clubbing together the proceeds of their combined efforts, a recent cheque to the tune of £3,335 was presented to Kirkwood Fundraiser, Lyndsey Richardson.

"We are so grateful for their amazing donation, which will really help our patients and their families." Lyndsey Richardson

Proud to work with the club and speaking on behalf of the Hospice, Lyndsey said:

“It has been great working with all the Mirfield Rotarians who do truly fantastic work for local charities and causes.

“We are so grateful for their amazing donation, which will really help our patients and their families. We hope to continue working together in the future.”
