Reindeer Run
Can your children help Santa round up his reindeer this Christmas? We're looking for schools, nurseries and youth groups across Kirklees to hold a Reindeer Run and raise funds to help The Kirkwood Support Life.
Calling all, Dashers, Prancers, Vixens, Comets, Cupids, Donners, Blitzen’s and Rudolph’s.
Our Reindeer Run needs you!
We are delighted to announce that our Reindeer Run will be returning for 2022 and we are on the search for our next batch of Reindeer Recruits to join our movement.
By supporting the Reindeer Run you will be helping us to continue providing the very best care and support to our patients, carers and families affected by a life limiting illness in Kirklees, when and where they need it. In previous years, The Kirkwood fundraising community have come together in huge numbers to create an exciting, fun-filled event for school children across Kirklees to get involved in and this year it's going to be bigger and better than ever!
Sign up and register you interest today, simply fill in the form below and we’ll do the rest.
How it all works
The Reindeer Run is all about children having fun as excitement for Christmas starts to build – all whilst raising funds to help The Kirkwood care for people in their local community.
The great thing is that you can set the distance, choose the route and even pick a date and time that suits you and your children. Suitable for all ages and fitness abilities, children and their teammates can gallop, trot and prance into this fun and inclusive fundraising activity. Schools can include the Reindeer Run as part of their PE lesson or outdoor time. Adding an engaging, creative element to their daily exercise routine with a bit of festive fun leading up to Christmas!
Children help to raise money for The Kirkwood by gathering sponsorship before the run takes place. And as a thank you for taking part, each child will receive a pair of festive reindeer antlers, a bright red nose and a certificate to congratulate them.
What we provide
When you sign up to take part in the Reindeer Run, you’ll get:
- Reindeer nose and antlers for every child taking part
- Sponsorship forms
- A certificate of thanks for each child
- We can even visit you to share with the children the difference their support will make
- Opportunity for a large cheque presentation with the children
