Donating to Shops

We rely on your donations to raise vital funds to care for our patients and their families. Your generosity helps us to keep our shops filled with high quality stock, meaning we can raise as much money as possible for those in our care.

What kind of things can I donate?

If you would like to help by donating any unwanted items to The Kirkwood, we would be delighted to receive them, You can donate any saleable items, including clothes, shoes, books, CDs, household items, collectables and anything else you think will help to raise money for the Hospice. We also sell electrical items, which are all tested prior to sale, and small pieces of furniture.

Even the items that you think may not sell such as bras, belts, socks, vests and worn/damaged clothing can still raise us money by recycling through one of our many agents.

If you are unable to drop off items, please call our Retail team on: 01484 557 917 and we will be glad to arrange a Covid safe collect from your home.

Coronavirus Update

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that held on to their pre-loved items whilst our shops were closed and donated them once we re-opened. Your donations are really important to us and will make a huge difference for people affected by any life limiting illness in your local community.

We are pleased to say that we are now able to accept donations as normal. In some of our shops, we have limited storage space and may not be able to accept some donations at certain times. Please bear with us as we work through our donations. If you would like to find out if your local shop has space to take your donation on a specific day, we encourage you to give your local shop a call before dropping off your items - just to make sure. You can find all the details of our shops by clicking here.
