We’re looking for Directors to join our Enterprises Board

Want to put your experience and skills to great use and help a local charity which is making a positive difference in your local area? We’re looking for people with business experience, energy, enthusiasm and a real desire to help to join our Enterprises Board. 

The Kirkwood are dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone affected by life limiting illnesses across Kirklees. When time is short, we focus on what really matters to those in our care, helping them make the most of the time they have left, however long that may be. 

As a charity, we rely on the support of amazing local people for the majority of our funding. From midnight ramblers to long term donor. From cake bakers to daredevil fundraisers. And from generous corporate givers to loyal shoppers - we couldn’t do what we do without them. 

There’s no denying that 2020 has been a tough year for so many of us, not least for local charities who rely so heavily on the income generated from local fundraising, events and their shops. We’ve all had to take difficult decisions this year, and it’s made us think differently about the future.  

As a charity which exists thanks to the support of local people, we must find new and innovative ways to ensure that we continue to make a positive difference in their lives. Whenever, wherever and whatever form that takes. And to do that, we’ll need help! 

We’re on the lookout for people with energy, enthusiasm and a real desire to help The Kirkwood improve its commercial acumen, to join our Enterprises Board. You’ll be linking up with like-minded people to develop new ideas and offer valuable guidance to support The Kirkwood’s income generation activities. 

We won’t ask for too much of your time, but the difference you make will be huge. 

We’re looking for people with a range of experiences and knowledge, gained in any area of the commercial sector. Whatever your skills and expertise, we’d love to hear from you.

By becoming a Director of The Kirkwood Enterprises Board, you’ll be joining a movement of people dedicated to ensuring that local people affected by any life limiting illnesses receive the very best care. You’ll be helping to support hundreds of families who rely on us every single year. And you’ll be helping to make a improve the quality of life for local people in towns and villages right across Kirklees.
