Thank you to our amazing Support Groups!

As we celebrate our 30th Anniversary, it is never far from all our minds the key role our Support Groups played in bringing the idea of a Hospice for the people of Kirklees to fruition.

For many years before the Hospice opened its doors to the local community, Support Group volunteers dedicated their time and energy to fundraising for the building and fitting out of the Hospice. 

Their continued enthusiasm and support over more than three decades has not only contributed toward the ongoing funding of the Hospice, but has also helped Kirkwood to extend its reach into many communities across Kirklees. 

Everyone in the Kirkwood community wishes to express their enormous thanks to all our Support Groups, past and present. They are very much part of the foundations of Kirkwood; if it wasn’t for their hard work and dedication, the Hospice would not be here today!
