Remember, remember to visit Black Cat and Standard Fireworks this weekend and help to raise funds for Kirkwood!

Each November, sales of fireworks soar in the UK as bonfires are lit to commemorate the infamous Gunpowder plot.

This year, Crosland Hill based Black Cat and Standard Fireworks are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for Kirkwood through the sale of its £1 sparkler packs.

The special sparkler are on sale this weekend at Black Cat's factory shop, with 100% of sales donated to the Hospice.

Kate Leadbeater, Business Partnership Development Manager at the Hospice, is delighted that the team at Black Cat have chosen to support Kirkwood.

She said: "It's brilliant to have a local firm like Black Cat and Standard Fireworks supporting us at what is their busiest time of year. We can't thank them enough.

"We're sure that the sparklers will prove really popular and we'd like to encourage as many people as possible to drop in to their factory shop this weekend."
