FMG Colleague to Take on Great Wall of China Trek for The Kirkwood

Long-standing Business Movement member FMG is celebrating The Kirkwood's 40th anniversary in a truly unforgettable way, by sponsoring one of its colleagues to take part in the Great Wall of China Trek in October 2027.

The once-in-a-lifetime challenge will see a group of trekkers travel to China to take on one of the world's most iconic landmarks, trekking across historic sections of the Great Wall while raising vital funds to support The Kirkwood's specialist care for local people and their families.

As one of The Kirkwood's longest-standing business supporters, FMG has proudly backed the charity since 2000, after colleagues selected it as a cause close to their hearts. Over the years, the business has raised thousands of pounds through fundraising events, challenges and community initiatives, helping The Kirkwood continue to provide expert care and support across Kirklees.

Now, one lucky FMG colleague will have the opportunity to represent the business on this adventure, joining other trekkers from across the local community for a challenge that promises breathtaking scenery, unforgettable memories and the chance to make a lasting difference.

The Great Wall of China Trek forms part of The Kirkwood's 40th anniversary celebrations and will bring together 40 supporters from across Kirklees to take on one of the world's 7  wonders. Every pound raised will help The Kirkwood continue providing specialist care and support for people living with a life-limiting illness, and those closest to them.
