Dedicate a light to someone you love this December and join us to celebrate their life.

As the festive period draws nearer, Light up a Life is your chance to dedicate a light in memory of someone you love and pay tribute to them in a truly unique way.

Each year, Light up a Life brings us together to share memories, celebrate the lives of those we love and dedicate a light on our beautiful tree in their honour. As well as making a dedication to someone special, we invite you to join us for a series of very special services in The Kirkwood Gardens. Following our Light up a Life events, our picturesque gardens will become a haven of light throughout the festive period, with each light on our tree shining out in memory of those you love.


When you make a dedication to someone you love and dedicate a light in their memory, we'll send you a special handwritten card bearing their name. We'll also invite you to join us at one of our Light up a Life events in December. Each of our services will feature readings, music and reflections – as well as the lighting of our tree. 

Our online dedication page is a place you can choose to remember your loved one by sharing a special message and a photo if you wish. This page is a long and lasting way to remember someone you love and your precious memories, you can invite family and friends to view your tribute too – wherever they are.

If you choose make a dedication online, we'll automatically send you a handwritten card bearing the name of the person you love. If you would like to attend one of our in-person events, please get in touch with our team at: fundraising@thekirkwood.org.uk after making your dedication online to reserve your tickets.
