Light up a Life - Sunday (Dalton)

Join us on Sunday 6th December, at 5.00pm in The Kirkwood Gardens to celebrate precious moments and keep their memory alive this December

We all have our own ways of remembering the people we love. Sometimes it's a favourite photograph, a familiar song, a treasured story or a little tradition that brings them close. Sometimes, it's simply the memories we carry with us every day.

As the leaves start to fall and the days get shorter, we're thinking about the people we love who are no longer with us, and celebrating the many ways we keep them close to our hearts.

We'd love you to join us this year by dedicating a light on our beautiful tree in their memory. By dedicating a light, you’ll also be helping to support local families in Kirklees, ensuring The Kirkwood can be there to offer care, compassion and time when it matters most, for generations to come. In addition to making a dedication, we invite you to join us for a series of services in The Kirkwood Gardens. After our Light Up A Life event, our picturesque gardens will transform into a haven of light throughout the festive period, with each light on our tree shining out in memory of those you love.

This year, we will be live streaming our Light up a Life event on Sunday 6th December from 5pm. More infromation will be coming soon, including the link and how to log on to watch.

When you've made a dedication to your loved one, you will receive a heartfelt card with your loved one's name. We would love to see you and your family at our events, held on Sunday 6th December, for a memorable evening of readings, music, and moments for reflection, as well as the lighting of our tree, each light shining brightly in memory of your loved ones. Our online dedication page is a place where you can choose to remember your loved one by sharing a special message and a photo if you wish. This page is a long and lasting way to remember someone you love and your precious memories, you can invite family and friends to view your tribute too – wherever they are.

If you make your dedication online, we’ll automatically send you a heartfelt card bearing the name of the person you love.

If you’re unable to attend any of the events, you can still take part from home and watch the service online by requesting a home pack.

To make sure your home pack arrives in time, please request yours by Friday 20 November.
