Firework display set to dazzle guests at Hospice Ball

Kirkwood Hospice is opening the doors to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for one night only this March, exclusively to those in possession of a Golden Ticket. And thanks to the support of a local business, the Hospice’s fundraising team hope its latest event will go with a real bang.

Kirkwood has hired out The Venue at Bowers Mill in Barkisland on Saturday, 19th March for its Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Ball, with organisers promising an evening of delicious food, fantastic entertainment and lots of sugar-coated surprises.

Crosland Moor’s Black Cat fireworks are set to add to the spectacle, dazzling guests with a spellbinding and unique display as they arrive.

Black Cat, formerly known as Standard Fireworks, are long-time supporters of Kirkwood Hospice, which provides specialist palliative care for people across Kirklees, as well as offering support for family and friends.

When the Hospice approached Black Cat’s General Manager, Austin Brown, he was delighted to be able to offer their services and expertise.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to support the work of Kirkwood Hospice. We are delighted to be involved in their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Ball.

“Hopefully the display put on by our team will be the perfect start to a great evening of fundraising for such a good cause.” Austin Brown, General Manager at Black Cat

Kirkwood Partnership Development Manager Kate Leadbeater was delighted to receive the support of Austin and the team at Black Cat.

She said: “Black Cat has supported Kirkwood Hospice for many years and we are really grateful for their offer of help. Fundraising events like this help the Hospice to raise tens of thousands of pounds, which goes toward providing vital services for people with life-limiting illnesses.

“Without the amazing support of the community and businesses like Black Cat, we simply wouldn’t be able to continue to run the Hospice.”

As well as a phenomenal fireworks display, guests will enjoy a scrumptious four course meal and spectacular entertainment, before dancing the night away in a sugar-filled wonderland.

Tickets for the Black Tie event are £59 and a table of 10 costs just £590. Tickets are going fast, so book now and join Kirkwood Hospice in a world of pure imagination, where wonderful surprises await those who possess the Golden Ticket!
