When she signed up for the Kirkwood Hospice Lottery two years ago, Charlotte Anderson, 31, never thought she’d be a winner. But when her number came up in last Friday’s draw, she couldn’t believe her luck. Our £750 Jackpot winner talks to us about her win and why you too should be a Lottery member.

Why did you join the Kirkwood Lottery?

I work at a hospital myself and I give to a few charities, but it’s nice to support a good local cause doing great work, such as that at Kirkwood Hospice.

How long have you been playing?

I’ve been playing for a couple of years now.

What will you spend your winnings on?

Well with Christmas coming up, it’s a good time of year for it! We’ve got another baby on the way and Rosie, who will be three in December, might get her room done up too. Frozen-theme no doubt!

Finally, what would you say to anyone else thinking of joining the Kirkwood Hospice Lottery?

Just do it! I never thought I would win but it’s a really nice surprise when you do and it’s all for a great cause. We’ve got friends who play as well and now they’re hopeful to win too!
