Christmas Tree Recycling
The Kirkwood Christmas Tree Collections are returning for 2026!
Collections will start from Thursday, 8th January 2026 to Thursday, 15th January 2026 (excluding weekend) where our tree-mendous teams will be out on the road for another year of collecting and recycling real Christmas trees in your area!
Disposing of your real Christmas tree after the holidays can be a hassle. Take one more thing off your New Year's to-do list and pre-register your tree for collection with The Kirkwood.
By booking your Christmas tree collection with The Kirkwood, you'll be directly helping our incredible nurses, doctors, and healthcare professionals care for patients and their families across Kirklees living with life limiting illness.
Partnering with FMG to Reach Our Goal!
We’re thrilled to announce that FMG, based in Bradley, Huddersfield, has joined us this year as our official partner of The Kirkwood Christmas Tree Collections.
With a new target set to collect 2,000 trees in 2026, and their incredible support we’re confident this partnership will bring us closer to making a bigger impact in our community than ever before.
Pre-register to receive a reminder when registration officially opens on the 10th of November,

When you book your Real Christmas Tree Collection with The Kirkwood Hospice, you’ll be helping our specialist palliative care teams be there for patients, carers and families living with a life limiting illness, from diagnosis to end of life care across the whole
of Kirklees.
During January trees collected will be taken to one of our drop-off locations dotted around Kirklees where our tree surgeons and chippers will be waiting to turn your Christmas tree into chips used to create natural paths in a country parks, new habitats for local wildlife, mulch and more. It is a simple and efficient way to help the environment and support your local hospice too.
