Utilita joins The Kirkwood Business Movement

Our mission is to provide specialist care, free of charge, to adults in Kirklees with advanced, progressive and life limiting illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life, and those who care for them, when they need it. Working collectively to ensure these people feel supported to live the best quality of life they can.

We are delighted to announce that Utilita have become the latest company to join The Kirkwood Business Movement.

They have joined an ever-growing group of local professionals who believe, like us, that everyone affected by a life limiting illness deserves the very best care and support as they approach the end of their life.

As an organisation that shares these values, Utilita is proud to have joined The Kirkwood Business Movement.

On joining The Kirkwood Business Movement, Sharon Dean, Energy Expert at Utilita’s Huddersfield Energy Hub, said: “The Kirkwood is an incredible service and one I hold close to my own heart.

“Staff and those volunteering within the charity, truly do make a difference to so many families across the Kirklees, in what are often the hardest times of their lives.

“Utilita in December opened an Energy Hub in Huddersfield, which is dedicated to supporting the local community in as many ways as possible, and there are few, if any more worthy causes than The Kirkwood, in my opinion.

“I’m delighted we can play a small part in this incredible initiative, and I look forward to seeing our relationship blossom over the coming year and beyond.”

Utilita’s new Energy Hub is at 71 New Street, HD1 2BQ, it is a brick-and-mortar store, offering face-to-face services to anyone – not just Utilita customers. Anyone can pop in for a chat about their energy bills, usage at home, or just for a cup of tea should they so wish.

The Kirkwood Business Movement Development Manager Beverley Shaw said: “We would like to welcome Utilita to Huddersfield and to our business movement.

“Their core business offering/product, compliments many of the other businesses who are already part of our growing movement, and we very much look forward to working with them and developing our newly created relationship.”

Welcome to the movement Utilita. Proud to have you onboard.
