The Kirkwood Superstore is Proud to Sponsor The Kirkwood Pub Hop 2026!

The Kirkwood Superstore in Mirfield is proudly sponsoring The Kirkwood Pub Hop, as the popular fundraising event returns for its second year on Saturday 12th September.

The Superstore, which opened its doors earlier this year, has quickly become part of the Mirfield community, offering shoppers a huge range of pre-loved items while generating vital income to support The Kirkwood’s care for local people living with life limiting illnesses.

Now the Superstore is throwing its support behind one of The Kirkwood’s fundraising events in Mirfield. This year’s Pub Hop will see supporters pull on their walking shoes and make their way around a route of just over six miles, stopping off at six fantastic pubs and venues across Mirfield.

The route will take participants to The Navigation Tavern, The Pear Tree, The Flowerpot, Arthur’s Café, Knowl Club and finally The OC (formerly Old Colonial), bringing together local businesses, supporters and the wider Mirfield community for a day of fundraising and fun.

For £25, participants receive an exclusive Pub Hop T-shirt and a branded commemorative glass, providing them with a special reminder of the day. Most importantly, every ticket sold and every pound raised will help The Kirkwood continue to provide specialist care and support to people across Kirklees affected by life limiting illnesses.

Since opening earlier this year, the Superstore has received such a fantastic welcome from the Mirfield community, so it feels particularly special to be supporting an event that brings so many local people and businesses together.

“The Pub Hop is a brilliant way for people to enjoy a great day out with friends while raising vital funds to help The Kirkwood continue providing specialist care for people across Kirklees. We’re looking forward to seeing over 150 people in Mirfield on Saturday, visiting six fantastic local pubs along the way, and we hope everyone has an amazing day.”

The Kirkwood Superstore opened in Mirfield in May, becoming an exciting new addition to The Kirkwood’s network of charity shops across Kirklees. At more than 3,500 sq ft, the store offers everything from furniture and homeware to clothing and other quality pre-loved items.

Income generated through The Kirkwood’s shops plays an important role in helping to fund the charity’s services, meaning every purchase, donation and visit helps The Kirkwood continue to be there for local people and their families when they need it most.

By sponsoring The Kirkwood Pub Hop, the Mirfield Superstore is continuing to build on the relationships it has developed within the town since opening and helping to bring the community together in support of The Kirkwood.
