The Kirkwood Hosts Heartfelt Thank You Celebration for Incredible Fundraisers.

Last Thursday, 12th June, we invited a handful of our supporters to The Kirkwood for a special evening of thanks. Hosted by our warm and friendly community fundraising team, the Thank You event dedicated to a handful of individual fundraisers whose extraordinary efforts have collectively raised an astonishing £80,904. The atmosphere of the evening was one of positive celebrations filled with a shared enthusiasm for fundraising in support of the vital care provided by The Kirkwood.

The Supporter Thank You event was an opportunity to meet and speak with individuals to express our profound appreciation, who also had the chance to bring along friends and family to share in their well-deserved celebrations. The event saw key figures from The Kirkwood in attendance, including CEO Michael Crowther, who warmly addressed the room thanking those who attended for their unwavering commitment. Finance Director Penny Wade was on hand for the official cheque presentations, acknowledging each significant contribution. Supported by our friendly fundraising team– ensuring the evening ran smoothly.

During the evening, we welcomed a diverse range of fundraising activities, from challenging firewalks and skydives to gruelling half marathons, delightful Easter raffles, and the immense Yorkshire Marathon, each endeavour highlighted a unique and personal commitment to The Kirkwood.

Last week's total of £80,904 is not an overall figure for the year thus far, however, signifies the amount raised by the attendees in the room on the night. This amount plays a crucial role in securing the future of The Kirkwood. These funds will directly help patients attending our In-Patient Unit at Dalton and those within the community we support, continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of people in our local towns and villages, providing comfort and crucial support during life’s most challenging moments.

We once again, would like to extend our deepest thanks to all who attended last Thursday evening and to every single fundraiser whose tireless efforts ensure The Kirkwood can continue to offer its vital services to the community.
