Langricks joins The Kirkwood’s Business Movement

Like us, our supporters believe our care is life changing – not just for our patients, but for their families and those they care about too. As one big team we are working together to help each other and Support Life right here in Kirklees.

One of the latest businesses to join The Kirkwood Business Movement is highly respected company Langricks.

Founded in Cheshire in 2009 by Chris and Camilla Langrick they expanded their reach by purchasing Michael Bell & Co Chartered Accountants in Holmfirth in 2019 near to where they live, and where Chris grew up.

Michael Bell’s practice had a strong 30 year history of providing accounting services to clients locally and nationally and since Chris and Camilla took it on they have grown the team, extended the office and the business which is now 29 strong across the two offices.

Recent developments include the expansion of the tax department and forming a partnership with an independent firm of financial planners in order to offer their clients the full rounded package from accounts advice to inheritance tax advice and wealth management advice.  With Chris and Michael both having worked for KPMG, the business has a strong reputation for providing advisory services and in particular with helping business owners through the sale of their business.

Camilla explained more about the business: "We aim to provide a true ‘cradle to grave’ service.

"We can help a start-up business get underway, look after all of the compliance requirements with the annual accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT.

"We can then advise business owners with a growth strategy, creating a forecast plan, assist with an exit of the business whilst making sure adequate business and shareholder protection is in place and that tax planning is considered along the journey.  We can help prepare for retirement, with pensions/investment support and inheritance tax planning."

On choosing to support The Kirkwood, and being part of our movement, she said: "With it being the only adult hospice in Kirklees there are few people in our region who do not know someone who has needed the services of The Kirkwood, us included. It is providing a vital service completely free of charge and that deserves our support.

"The Kirkwood seems to be out and about in the community really shouting about their services. Everyone knows about it which means that when the time comes everyone knows where to turn for support at what is likely to be a distressing time.

"We have joined the Kirkwood business movement as it feels like they really want to try and help us raise money for them by being as proactive as they can be, they seem to understand that as business owners we are time short but that we are keen to do our bit in the community through our fundraising, so it feels they are helping us to help them."

We are proud to be partnered with Langricks.
