Josh Hemingway’s The Kirkwood story

The Kirkwood is a movement of people and we look to care for those who are dealing with long term illnesses, the beauty about our organisation is that we also look at the bigger picture and put support in place for families too.

Our latest story is about Josh Hemingway who wanted to access our bereavement counseling service after the death of his loving wife Liane Margaret Hemingway in 2022. 

Liane was diagnosed with cancer and The Kirkwood helped care for her and Josh and their children last year at the end of Liane's life. 

Now Josh has accessed our services he feels ready to talk about the journey he has been on over the last few years. 

In Josh's very own words, he says: "The bereavement process has been absolutely essential for me, it has given me strategies to cope with everyday life. I can't thank The Kirkwood enough for how they supported Liane but me and my family too.

"The Kirkwood means a new start in life for me and my family."
