Join us for the Summer Garden Party

The Kirkwood are delighted to invite you for a joyful celebration at their Summer Garden Party taking place on Saturday 16th August 2025, from 11am to 3pm at The Kirkwood’s beautiful gardens in Dalton, Huddersfield. 

Join The Kirkwood for a vibrant day out for families, friends, and the whole community! Enjoy the sounds of live music, the tempting aromas of a sizzling BBQ, and the charm of local craft stalls. With face painting, games, and activities for all ages, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Best of all, entry is completely free – and everyone is welcome! 

Rachael Savage, Events Manager with The Kirkwood, said: “We’re so excited to welcome everyone to The Kirkwood this summer for a fun-filled Garden Party that truly has something for everyone. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families, friends, and our local community to come together, enjoy great entertainment, delicious food, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. With live music, stalls, games, and so much more planned, it promises to be a day to remember!” 

If you’ve made a dedication to our Sunflower Memories Appeal, you’ll be able to view your Sunflower plaque among a beautiful display and take it home with you. If you can't make this year's event or prefer to take part in Sunflower Memories in your own way, you can still make a dedication - your plaques will be available from the 16th August to 16th September, collect at anytime from our gardens and frames from reception. 

All funds raised on the day will help The Kirkwood continue to support people across Kirklees living with life limiting illnesses, as well as their families.
