Heat Pump Installers UK are The Kirkwood Business Movement 100th member

The Kirkwood Business Movement has reached an important milestone, welcoming Heat Pump Installers UK (HPI) as its 100th official member. The announcement was marked when Andrew Folan, Managing Director of HPI, visited The Kirkwood for photographs with staff to commemorate the occasion.

Heat Pump Installers UK was founded in 2017 by Andrew Folan, though the wider family business history in the heating industry spans nearly two decades. Based in Huddersfield, HPI has built a solid reputation for designing and installing air source and ground source heat pump systems, as well as delivering renewable heating solutions such as underfloor heating, solar and battery technologies.

Over the years, HPI has installed more than 500 heat pump systems, becoming known for quality workmanship, honest advice, and a commitment to improving industry standards. The company holds trusted accreditations including MCS certification, RECC membership, and deposit protection schemes that provide customers with confidence and security.

Their dedication to “quality systems at a fair rate” has seen them grow steadily, strengthening their reputation both locally and across the wider region.

HPI’s connection to The Kirkwood runs deeply not only as a business but as a family.

For nearly 20 years, the Folan family has played a major part in the annual The Kirkwood charity golf day at Bradley Park Golf Club, Huddersfield. The event, organised by Andrew’s father Martin Folan, has raised over £100,000 for The Kirkwood to date. The 2026 event will mark a remarkable 20 year milestone of continuous support.

The Folan family’s relationship with The Kirkwood is personal. Andrew and his relatives have witnessed first hand the compassionate care provided to close friends and family members over the years. Their experiences have fuelled a long-standing desire to give back through fundraising, sponsorship, and now, through HPI joining The Kirkwood Business Movement.

The Kirkwood Business Movement continues to flourish, bringing together some of the region’s most passionate and community minded organisations. With its 100th member now on board, the network is stronger and more diverse than ever.

Beverley Shaw, Business Development Manager at The Kirkwood, shared her thoughts on HPI’s milestone membership: “Andrew has seen how the Business Movement has flourished over recent times in membership and engagement and was delighted when deciding to join us to hear HPI would be our 100th business member.”

She added: “Our membership has an extensive and diverse number of businesses and having HPI join us enhances and complements our existing membership.”

For Andrew, joining as the 100th member is both symbolic and meaningful. It reflects his personal connection to The Kirkwood as well as his belief in the importance of supporting local, community-focused initiatives through his business.

With HPI now officially part of The Kirkwood Business Movement, the partnership marks a new chapter of collaboration. The company brings not only technical expertise in renewable energy but also a long-standing commitment to community spirit, compassion and charitable involvement.
