Chadwick Lawrence raises £3,250 for The Kirkwood through Will writing

The Kirkwood has a fantastic relationship with many local businesses across Kirklees. These businesses are not only part of our Business Movement but a lot of them do extra fundraising for us as a charity and help us to support life. 

One of those businesses we have a special relationship with is Chadwick Lawrence. They are a local solicitors firm that has supported The Kirkwood for several years. 

Over the last 12 months, the company has raised £3,250 for The Kirkwood through writing wills for people. These funds have gone on to help us care for patients with life limiting illnesses both at our site in Dalton and in the Kirklees community. 

Ellie Hirst, Associate Solicitor at Chadwick Lawrence said “We are a firm of Solicitors and I specialise in Will preparation. We prepare Wills free of charge, in lieu of a set donation to the hospice in the alternative. 

“We are proud that we have raised £3,250 for the charity so far. We are very proud to support a local charity in such a significant way. 

“We encourage people to make donations to The Kirkwood. This often leads to people leaving legacies in their Will, which is excellent for fundraising.

“We believe that The Kirkwood does such excellent work in the community, and we are happy to be able to support them.”
