Aflex Hose supports The Kirkwood

The Kirkwood is incredibly fortunate to be supported by businesses like Aflex Hose, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE-lined flexible hose products.

Their expertise and innovation are renowned across industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, food and beverage, and even automotive manufacturing, where their hoses are found in over 10 million vehicles worldwide.

Despite their global success, Aflex Hose remains deeply connected to their local community, and we’re proud to count them among our most dedicated supporters.

Aflex Hose has shown a genuine commitment to understanding what we do. Many of their employees, as residents of Kirklees, are familiar with our work, but they’ve gone further by engaging with our initiatives, including our Support Life Champions training, which gives them a deeper insight into the services we offer.

Their involvement in our Business Movement has further strengthened this relationship, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their enthusiasm and support.

When Aflex Hose approached us, it was clear they shared our passion for supporting the wellbeing of people in Kirklees.

As a business, they already offer their employees an extensive range of wellbeing services, including private health and mental health support.

Partnering with us provided an additional layer of care and resources, ensuring their colleagues and their families have access to expert guidance and support during challenging times.

For Aflex Hose, our mission aligned perfectly with their own values, and they’ve demonstrated time and again their commitment to making a difference.

It’s no secret that accessing quick and reliable care through traditional channels can be difficult. Aflex Hose recognises the crucial role we play in filling these gaps, offering essential services to those who need them most.

Their belief in the importance of our work is deeply moving, and it’s a reminder of how much stronger we are when businesses and charities come together for a common cause.

Over the past year, the team at Aflex Hose has gone above and beyond in their support for The Kirkwood. From selling summer raffle tickets to hosting a Kirkwood Cuppa and Chocolate Explosion event, their enthusiasm has been inspiring.

They’ve also rolled up their sleeves and spent three full days volunteering at our eBay donation center in Mirfield, helping us generate funds to support our services.

We’re excited to continue our partnership with Aflex Hose in 2025 and beyond. They’ve already committed to taking part in Woolly Pully Day, and they’re planning additional volunteering days at the eBay center. We’re also in discussions about their involvement in our summer main walk event, where they’re considering both sponsorship and volunteering opportunities.

Beverley Shaw, Business Development Manager for The Kirkwood said: "We’re incredibly grateful to Aflex Hose for their ongoing support and enthusiasm for The Kirkwood’s mission. Their team’s dedication to fundraising, volunteering, and spreading awareness is truly inspiring. Aflex Hose isn’t just a corporate supporter they’re a vital part of our Kirkwood family, helping us ensure that people in Kirklees receive the care and support they need, when they need it most. We’re thrilled to continue working together and can’t wait to see what we can achieve in the future."

Their dedication to supporting us doesn’t just stop at fundraising; it’s about building a lasting partnership that benefits the entire community.

Aflex Hose’s commitment to The Kirkwood is a shining example of how businesses can make a profound impact on their local communities. Their support helps us to continue providing vital care and resources to people across Kirklees.

We are truly grateful for everything Aflex Hose has done and continues to do for The Kirkwood. Together, we’re creating a stronger, more compassionate community, and we look forward to all we’ll achieve in the future.

Thank you, Aflex Hose, for standing by us and helping us make a difference!
