Mother’s Day in Bloom

A Tribute of Love. Mother’s Day in Bloom is a visual installation of 1,000 metal peonies taking place at Oakwell Hall from Sunday, 8th March till Sunday, 12th April 2026 celebrating the love ones who help us grow!

This spring we you to join us and take part in our stunning floral installation, ‘Mother’s Day in Bloom’ as we transform the walled garden at  Oakwell Hall into a vibrant carpet of pink, featuring 1,000 unique, hand-crafted metal Peonies.

This tribute is a welcoming space for everyone to reflect, remember, and celebrate the bonds that help us grow. Whether you are honoring a Mum, Dad, grandparent, or a chosen guardian, this campaign is for whoever ‘Mum’ is to you.

While the installation is open for reflection throughout the month, we have two special dates where we invite the community to come together:

The Grand Launch | Sunday, 8th March
Be among the very first to see the installation in its full, breathtaking glory. Join us as we officially unveil the 1,000 Peonies and begin this month of remembrance and celebration.

Mother’s Day Celebration | Sunday, 15th March
Join us for a day filled with extra warmth. This free, event is the perfect opportunity to spend the day together, celebrating the lives of loved ones, past and present, amidst the blooms.
 

 

Be part of our stunning installation this spring adding your Peony to our installation for £30 per flower, including your dedication to our installation in the grounds of Oakwell Hall, creating a carpet of blooms for you and the public to view. These handcrafted Peonies are unique keepsakes. Just as no mother figure is the same, no two flowers will be the same.

Each handcrafted peony is as unique as the person it honours. By adding your flower to the display, you help create a stunning collective tribute in the historic grounds of Oakwell Hall for the public to enjoy. These metal blooms are designed to be lasting keepsakes, a beautiful, permanent reminder of a bond that never fades.
 

Once the installation concludes in April, your peony is yours to keep forever.

• In-Person Collection: You can collect your flower from The Kirkwood in Dalton between 20th and 25th April.
• Postage: For a small additional fee of £7, we can post your peony directly to you. Please ensure you add the postage option to your order at the time of purchase.

Peonies will be posted from 27th April, ready to bloom in your own garden for years to come.
