Midnight Memory Walk

Our biggest fundraising event of the year is back for 2022! After almost three year's away, we're pulling out all the stops to make sure this year's event is be bigger and better than ever. We can't wait to lace up our boots with you this July in memory of the people that mean the most to you.

We are delighted to announce our Midnight Memory Walk will return on Saturday 2nd July. Join us this Summer and help us turn the sleepy midnight streets into a sea of colour as we lace up for those we love. With your help, this year will be our biggest event ever. And by taking part, you'll be supporting people affected by life limiting illnesses right across Kirklees.

For over a decade, The Kirkwood Midnight Memory Walk has brought our community together in tribute to so many amazing people – and to take on a unique challenge in their memories. More than a fundraiser, our flagship event is something truly special. A chance to join with family and friends to remember the special people in your lives and celebrate their legacy alongside a community of like-minded people.

Standard Price:

Adults: £20

Children (Under 16): £15

Your registration fee includes; entry to the event, a Midnight Memory Walk T-shirt and walker number to wear on the night plus a medal, breakfast sandwich and hot drink at the finish line.

The Midnight Memory Walk is a circular route, starting and ending at the University of Huddersfield – you can decide on the night whether you would like to walk 6 or 10 miles.

This year, we'll be posting out your Walker Packs directly to you two weeks prior to the event. If you register as part of a group or someone has has signed you up as part of their order, your pack will be bundles together and sent to the lead walker (the person who completed the order). Please note that there is no option to collect your pack this year.

We are so excited to welcome you all to our Midnight Memory walk this July.

The Kirkwood is needed more than ever, and your support makes a big difference for patients and families relying on our care and support at the most challenging time in their lives. It is only thanks to the generosity of local people – people like you – that we continue to be here to improve the quality of life for those in need, against all the odds.

By gaining sponsorship for your walk in this year’s Midnight Memory Walk you will be contributing towards the continued work of The Kirkwood. Supporting life in your communities to those that need us most.
