The Kirkwood Get Together

The Kirkwood Get Together is all about bringing your friends, family or work colleagues together any day in September to help The Kirkwood Support Life in your town or village. Whether you host a community coffee morning, get your friends round for cocktails or host a BBQ in the back garden, your event will help The Kirkwood Nurses to continue providing vital care for patients in their own homes when they need it most.

HOST YOUR WAY

The Kirkwood Get Together takes place throughout the whole of September, you pick the date and the time!

The Kirkwood Cuppa is our flagship get together, but we know that might not be everyone's cup of tea, so here are a few options to get you started. Don't worry if you haven't decided on how you want to take part just yet, you can still sign up and get your free fundraising pack before you start planning. To request a pack, simply fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page.

WHY SUPPORT THE KIRKWOOD

The Kirkwood Nurses work tirelessly, seven days a week, providing care and support for patients in your local community. Our nurses often get mistaken for Macmillan Nurses, but here in Kirklees it’s The Kirkwood and not Macmillan who provide specialist care for patients in their own homes and in care homes when they are diagnosed with any life limiting illness. The Kirkwood’s support is available from the moment an illness affects a patient’s quality of life.

We want to spread the word about the care The Kirkwood Nurses deliver to local people and we need your help to do it. By taking part in The Big Kirkwood Get Together, you will be helping us be there for people who need our help. People like Anne and her husband Jack, who were supported at home by The Kirkwood Community Nursing team following Jack's diagnosis of Alzheimer's.
