Every year, hundreds of local people take on a challenge to help patients and families affected by life limiting illnesses here in Kirklees. Whether it's pounding the pavements, pedalling long and winding roads, braving the cold on an open water swim or climbing a mountains, every single person who takes on a challenge makes a huge difference for local people in need here in Kirklees. Skydive

The Kirkwood Memorial Bike Ride

Why not test yourself by taking part in The Kirkwood Memorial bike ride in memory of Katrina Cross this autumn? Organised by cycling enthusiast Richard Poole, set up an annual memorial mountain bike ride in memory of his partner Katrina who died in 2020 after being cared for at home and he wants you to get involved.

Zip Line for The Kirkwood

Are you ready to take on our brand new adrenaline fuelled challenge? Race your friends down one of the fastest ziplines in the world at Zip World this October. Velocity is a 1555 metre zip line comprising of a total of 2 zip lines aptly titled the 'Little Zipper' and 'The Big Zipper' and the whole experience will take participants around 2 hours to complete.
