Prof. Peter Roberts OBE

Trustee

Professor Peter Roberts joined as a Trustee in December, 2019.  He contributes through his membership of various committees,  support for fundraising and the provision of help and advice on strategic and policy matters. 

His interest in health and social care reflect his previous experience with the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust (as a Board member), his current role with the Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group (As Chair of Audit Committee and Lay member of Governing Body) and the NHS Confederation (Co-Chair of the Sustainable Development Group).  Peter is also Chair of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Professor Emeritus of Sustainable Spatial Development at the University of Leeds. 

Peter has researched and published on topics associated with planning, housing, health and social care, regeneration and environment.  He has advised government ministers, major companies and a wide range of public and other national and international organisations.  He lives near Huddersfield and in his leisure time enjoys hillworking, classical music, restoring classic cars and watching Liverpool Football Club continue on its path of glory.
