Paul has an extensive knowledge of the retail industry, built up during a career spanning over 46 years. It all began with a summer vacation job at the Coop; delivering furniture during the week and helping in store selling televisions on Saturdays. Deciding to accept a pemanent position, he worked for Cooperative Retail Services for 29 years and held various Store, Area and National Sales Management positions before moving to CWS as a National buyer. He then moved to EStore’s the Co-op's on line Electrical business as Head of Buying & Commercial before taking early retirement following a health issue.

Originally from Bath, Paul has lived in Lindley with his wife Caroline for 28 years. They have two boys - both born in Huddersfield. Paul is a keen gardener and would be quite happy spending all day on his allotments. He also enjoys walking, photography and spending time with the family.

He says: "Someone I’d never met literally saved my life so I wanted to find a way to give something back.

"I am honoured to have been appointed a trustee and look forward to using my business skills to support the Executive team and helping the team with the challenges ahead."
