Cycle from capital to capital just in time to witness the finale of the Tour de France and support The Kirkwood at the same time!

Starting on Wednesday 14th July - Sunday 18th July, travel between two iconic capital cities just in time for the finale of the world's greatest cycle race - the Tour de France!

The Kirkwood's ultimate bike ride challenge takes you through the beautiful Kent countryside to Dover, before crossing the Channel to Calais.
Ride along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling, green fields of Northern France, and pass the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme.
The pièce de résistance of this incredible challenge will be the final cycle to the Arc de Triomphe and on to the Champs-Élysées, following in the tyre tracks of the cycling greats before you see them cycle the same route the next day in the finale of the Tour de France!
Set yourself the ultimate challenge and cycle 315 miles in five days for The Kirkwood!
Day one - London to Calais (90 miles)
Day two - Calais to Arras (78 miles)
Day three - Arras to Compiègne (75 miles)
Day four - Compiègne to Paris (72 miles)
Day five - Paris to UK
Option A - Minimum Sponsorship
Registration Fee £125 + Min Sponsorship £1610
This option means the challenge balance of your event cost is met through raising a minimum sponsorship for Kirkwood.
Step 1 – To join the challenge you pay the non-refundable registration fee directly to Global Adventure Challenges and commit to raising the minimum sponsorship
Step 2 – Start fundraising and send your sponsorship money to Kirkwood
Step 3 – 80% of your minimum sponsorship must be received by Kirkwood no later than 10 weeks before departure. If you have raised the required amount, Kirkwood would then be in a position to pay the challenge balance, which is never more than 50% of the minimum sponsorship figure
Step 4 – The remaining 20% of your minimum sponsorship should be sent to Kirkwood no later than 4 weeks following your return after the challenge. Some charities may request you send this 20% to them before the challenge takes place – your charity will guide you further on this.
Option B - Self-Funding
Registration Fee £125 + Self Funding £805
This option enables you to fund the entire challenge yourself, which means you do not have to commit to raising a set sponsorship. Although no fundraising is required, we do strongly encourage you to support Kirkwood and raise as much as you possibly can.
Step 1 – You pay the non-refundable registration fee to Global Adventure Challenges, in order to join the challenge.
Step 2 – 10 weeks before departure, you will receive an invoice to pay the challenge balance as shown on the respective challenge page.
Step 3 – The challenge balance invoice is to be paid no later than 8 weeks before departure.

This guidance applies to everyone involved in one of our events, including; participants, volunteers and suppliers.
We take the wellbeing of those attending and supporting our events seriously. We are closely monitoring guidance from the Government. Any decisions on these events will be taken by The Kirkwood Fundraising team with the best interests of all parties in mind. Should it be necessary to cancel or reschedule any of our events, we will communicate the information with lead bookers, volunteers and suppliers. We will also communicate any cancellations or postponement via our website and social media platforms. If one of our events doesn't go ahead, a full refund or transfer of registration fee will be offered if applicable.
