Pen-Y-Ghent Family Challenge
Get the whole family together and take on our family-friendly Yorkshire One Peak challenge in July 2021!
In 2020 we all faced new challenges and many of us took to the great outdoors to keep busy and active during lockdown. Families bonded over long walks and discovered hidden places right on our doorstep in the wonderful Yorkshire countryside.
After a successful Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge event in September 2020, we're delighted to launch our family-friendly one peak challenge on Friday 30th July 2021.
Take to the Yorkshire Dales and tackle the 10.24km Pen-y-Ghent peak with an experienced Mountain Leader and create lasting memories as a family all while helping us support families affected by a life limiting illness in your local community.
Our Community Fundraisers will be there to support you in the lead up to the event, providing tips and tools to help you prepare for your trek.

Entry Fee: £25 for adults, FREE for children under 16
When you sign up to take part, we'll also ask you to set a family sponsorship target of £150 as part of this event. Please do not be put off by this amount - if you ask everybody you know to sponsor you, you might find it easier than you think to raise. Our friendly Fundraising team will also be available to offer helpful advice to support your fundraising efforts.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: guidance on booking and attending our events
This guidance applies to everyone involved in one of our events, including; participants, volunteers and suppliers.
We take the wellbeing of those attending and supporting our events seriously. We are closely monitoring guidance from the Government. Any decisions on these events will be taken by The Kirkwood Fundraising team with the best interests of all parties in mind. Should it be necessary to cancel or reschedule any of our events, we will communicate the information with lead bookers, volunteers and suppliers. We will also communicate any cancellations or postponement via our website and social media platforms. If one of our events doesn't go ahead, a full refund or transfer of registration fee will be offered if applicable.
