Supporting Kirkwood During the Coronavirus Crisis
Right now, our nurses are stepping forward, ready to do whatever it takes to ensure those on our In-Patient Unit, and those that are being cared for in their own homes, continue to receive the highest quality, compassionate care and support. As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact us all, our ability to raise the funds we need to provide care are is being tested more than ever before. You can make a big difference by supporting Kirkwood today.
At Kirkwood, we only have one chance to get it right as someone in our community reaches the end of their life. We cannot push that moment back, however much we might want to, and whatever is happening in the world.
At a time when we need to spend extra money supporting the most vulnerable people in our community, our sources of income are under greater pressure than ever. That's why we need help.
80% of our funds come from the local community, and without our regular income streams, from our major events, shops, gifts in wills, community fundraising and general donations, the long-term impact on our services could be very challenging.
Your support will ensure that every single member of the Kirkwood team – whether they are a nurse, doctor, therapist or cleaner – can remain focussed on making sure our patients and those they love can make the most of every single day.
