WHAT IS THE KIRKWOOD CUPPA?

The Kirkwood is a charity that provides care and support for individuals affected by life-limiting illnesses, and we are also the only charity whose nurses provide specialist palliative care to the people of Kirklees in their own homes and care homes. But we can’t pour from an empty cup, and that’s where you come in.

In connection with Hospice Care Week, The Kirkwood Cuppa will take place throguhout October, raising awareness of the incredible work of The Kirkwood Nurses within your local community and across the whole of Kirklees, and celebrating all things hospice care we invite you to host a Cuppa for The Kirkwood this Autumn.

MORE THAN JUST A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

The Kirkwood Nurses work tirelessly seven days a week to provide specialist care and support to patients in every town and village across Kirklees, and with your help, we can continue to offer our services to those who need us most. Will you brew up and help The Kirkwood?

HOW CAN I HOST A CUPPA?

Joining The Kirkwood Cuppa is a breeze. All you need to do is sign up and get your fundraising pack for free. Signing up is hassle-free, just hit the button below and complete the contact form. We'll get in touch with you and send you a fundraising pack, which is full of useful tips and tools to help you organize your event.

You can host a classic Coffee Morning, High Tea, Elevenses or try something a bit wacky and invite your friends to an Alice inspired, Mad Hatters Tea Party, the choice is ultimately yours, and our friendly fundraising will be on hand to support you all the way.

HOST A BUSINESS BREW OR A CORPORATE CUPPA

Participating in The Kirkwood Cuppa event at your workplace is an excellent way to connect and interact with your customers. It allows you to involve them in a charitable cause that aligns with your company values, inviting them to bring a friend, introducing them to your business, and also to The Kirkwood and the support they could access should they need us.

Your cuppa can be as big or as small as you are comfortable with and can be as simple as an in-house raffle, offering exclusive The Kirkwood Cuppa cake boxes filled with treats for customers to purchase or a special on the menu, with a percentage of the proceeds donated to The Kirkwood.

Hosting a corporate Cuppa can be a wonderful way to bring your workforce together and invite new and existing customers to join your fundraising efforts. It can be as simple as adding a footer to your company invoices, suggesting to round up the final total and donate the surplus to The Kirkwood. Alternatively, you could organize a fundraising fuddle with your investors, introducing them to The Kirkwood and the services they can access or support in their local community.
