Cuppa for Kirkwood

Things might be a little different this year, but we still want you to bring your friends, family or colleagues together and do something amazing for Kirkwood. So dust off your cake stands, put the kettle on and have a Cuppa for Kirkwood this September.

The coronavirus crisis has had a huge effect on all our lives. Here at Kirkwood, we’ve had to change many of our plans and cancel some of our fundraising events. So we’re really excited to announce that Cuppa for Kirkwood is back for 2020!

This year we’re all doing thing a little bit differently, and we are helping you to take part in whatever way you choose.

Host a virtual Cuppa for Kirkwood online. Invite your social bubble for afternoon tea in the garden or at home. And pick any day during September to take part.

This year, the choice of event is completely up to you, we only ask that you stay safe and follow the latest COVID-19 guidance when planning your event.

So pop the kettle on and help Kirkwood’s Nurses to continue caring for people in your local community by hosting your very own Cuppa for Kirkwood – whenever and wherever you like.

Want to get involved? Simply enter your details below and we’ll send you a free fundraising pack to help you get started.

What is Cuppa for Kirkwood?

As well as raising funds, Cuppa for Kirkwood helps to raise awareness about the care we provide for people in their own homes. Many people aren’t aware that Kirkwood is the only charity in Kirklees whose nurses provide specialist palliative care and support for patients at home, so we asked everyone taking part to help us spread the word about the care we provide in towns and villages right across Kirklees. And what better way than by bringing us all together to have a Cuppa for Kirkwood!
